Disciplined children are children who respect others, their environment and themselves. Staff members will work with a child to achieve this behavior. If normal positive techniques do not work and repeated misbehavior occurs, activities and/or privileges may be taken from the child and he/she may be asked to sit in a particular place in the room for a short while. Physical restraint would be used on a child when he/she might be in danger of harming himself/herself, others, or the environment. Spanking is not a method used at this school. If a child's behavior becomes too disruptive and the child does not respond to reasonable attempts to stop it, the parent will be asked to remove the child from the school for the day. Behaviors not permitted in this school are; biting, jerking, shaking, slapping, hitting, striking, kicking or any other means of inflicting physical pain, bodily harm or emotional distress to others.
